This painting of the beach and sand dunes just sold yesterday. This is from a photo taken last year at Litchfield by the Sea. I love the South Carolina beaches and especially around Charleston and Pawleys Island.

I enjoyed painting and experimenting with a cloudy day and sand dunes so much that I wanted to paint another one today. I am discovering different blues to use in the sky to make the clouds pop. My challenge in painting is also with contrast and depth.
