Day 26 "Palm Tree and Pampas Grass"

Day 26 ~ 30 paintings in 30 days

"Palm Tree and Pampas Grass"
8" x 8"
Oil on canvas panel
$95

When I visit the South Carolina beaches, I find that it is a photographic paradise.  I love the beaches especially at dusk, I love the marshes in the late afternoon with its long shadows, and I love the landscaping whether it is wild or natural.  I took this photo while out for an walk near where friends have a home.

A Painter's Dream

What a dream to paint all day long for three days with Leslie Saeta in Charlotte.  Day one sixteen of us painted pears and learned about color mixing.  Day two we painted boats and day three we painted a sunset with a palm tree.  All with a palette knife.  All the workshop members were talented artists.  What a fabulous weekend.
