Day 21: "Garden Fresh"

30 Paintings in 30 Days
Day 21
"Garden Fresh"
oil on panel
6" x 6"

The challenge today is a still life with lots of juicy paint.  My husband grows vegetables on our desk because the deer eat whatever is in the garden.  The pepper plants are very tall and healthy.  On this plant the peppers start out purple and then turn red.  I'm beginning to love peppers.

"Green Bowl"

30 in 30
Day 21
A friend of mine invited me to the "Empty Bowl" luncheon that benefits Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. Each year we pick out a bowl that the local potters have donated to the cause.  I have a beautiful collection of green bowls that help me remember that some people have empty bowls.  This is a palette knife and brush painting on a 8" x 8" panel of my favorite green bowl.
