I hope you enjoy this video of my latest painting and progress. I may have a few more finishing touches but I would like to study it for awhile. These are sunflowers from Renfrow Farms in Matthews. It was to hot to paint the sunflowers in the sun so I painted flowers and trees in the shade.
Here it is. Thirty days of paintings made with Picmonkey. Three plein air pieces are included. Now it is time to order more supplies because between the two challenges, I used about 50 panels. Some panels I divided into fourths for studies. What a great journey this was.
Today's painting was a struggle. I haven't done flowers in awhile. There was a lot of paint applied and then some taken off and more applied. I like the lavenders and pinks. Happy Spring everyone.
I went to Renfrow Farms in Matthews to paint sunflowers with my painting friends yesterday. We were a few days too late because they were plowing them under. Across the street where they sell vegetables and flowers was a beautiful field of flowers. There are so many things to paint there, we will be back next week.
Please Visit Christ Church to see and buy my paintings. Thirty percent goes to the church's outreach program. My artwork is only at Christ Church this month, not at the Silver Brush show in Matthews.
Fields of colorful flowers bring happiness to me whether it is a memory, a reality, or artwork. I just returned from Sacramento, California and a celebration of life of my dear cousin. Love and memories live on in our hearts forever. Life and beauty are to be celebrated and enjoyed each day.
