I kept looking at this image and wondered how I could make it into a painting. I wanted the diagonals and the bright colors. I used some cold wax mixed in the oil paint and palette knife and paint brush to get the effect I wanted.
During the four years that my daughter was in Appalachian State, we drove to the mountains at least once a month. I have so many beautiful photographs and memories of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
