"Baden Baden"

"Baden Baden"

A walk through Lictentaler Allee in Southwestern Germany is a beautiful feast for the senses.  You walk besides mature trees, a blue stream, and ornate bridges.  I'm slowly painting some photos from my two week vacation in Germany.

"Standing Alone"

"Standing Alone"

I took a photo in Germany while driving along farmland with windmills in the background and I saw this row of trees.  This scene just stuck me.  I loved how the one tree stood alone among all the other trees.  Sometimes as a transplant from California this is how I feel.  I wanted to make this lone tree shine a little brighter next to the other trees.

River through the Vineyards

Just a little over two weeks ago my husband and I were driving through the wine region of Germany.  This painting is of the Moselle River with the vineyards planted on the sides of steep hills.  This and the Rhine are perfect to take a river cruise or a bicycle ride beside the rivers.  We discovered many beautiful  villages and castles.  It waters was deep blue and clean.
