Sales at Country Day School
After an exhausting week, painting, framing, making inventory lists, and title cards, CCDS pop-up shop sale is over. While this was going, I was having my kitchen cabinets painted. That meant tenting the kitchen so they could spray the cabinets. Our dinners were from Fresh Market.
Take a guess which four paintings sold. In the next post I will reveal which paintings sold.

Art Pop Up Shop at Charlotte Country Day
This is my table at Country Day. The two large paintings will be hung somewhere else. There are 17 oil paintings for sale. It looks like I have a blue theme this year. The sale starts tomorrow at Hance Fine Arts Center. April 11, 12, & 13 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

A trip to Pawley's Island in February show me a different color view of the marshes there. The marshes are alive and change with the seasons and with the tide. This will be for sale at Charlotte Country Day School April 14, 15, & 16. At Cannon Library on Camel Road.

I have been working on this painting for a month. I painted the first layer quickly and the next few layers, I took my time with. I used a palette knife for most of it. I wanted to get the blue of the water right and the golden grasses the right color to capture a marsh on a bright, sunny, and windy February.
This painting will be for sale along with many others of my paintings at Charlotte Country Day School, April 14-16. The times are 8 am to 4 pm Thursday and Friday. Big Saturday will be 10 am to 4 pm.

My last trip to the low country was last month with warm and sunny days a couple of rainy grey days. The marshes were golden brown and some green just starting to come through as it was getting ready for spring.
I'll be taking this painting to Charlotte Country Day School on the 15th of April. CCDS will hold it's annual art sale in Cannon Library starting the 16th and ending on Saturday the 18th. I will have more art for sale and note cards also.

"Spring is in the Air"
This is a great weekend for buying art. Charlotte Country Day School has their "Big Saturday" Art Sale in the library at Fairview and Carmel Roads in Charlotte. I set up my art there yesterday and people started shopping today. I know many of the artists and I can say with all honesty that the artwork is beautiful. The sale ends Saturday at 4:00 pm.
