Continuing 30 paintings in 30 days 18-23

These are daily paintings from Day 18 to Day 23.  I was experimenting with many different triads.  I learned a lot about mixing colors.  Then I started a four days workshop about abstract landscapes and learning how to be open to discover inspirations around you.  I will post from the workshop tomorrow.

Day 12 "Foggy Marsh"

Day 12 of Strada Easel 30 Day Challenge
"Foggy Marsh"
18" x 24"
$525
oil on canvas
Palette Knife
I took a challenge from one of my Plein Airies friends to take an old canvas and make it into an abstract.  I choose a bright abstract piece and changed the whole look of it.  I used only three colors.  I used manganese violet, viridian green, and cad orange to make all the colors you see.  If was so much fun to try something so different.  I also used a palette knife and liquin impasto.
