Day 23 "Sunlight in the swamp"

Day 23 ~ 30 paintings in 30 days
"Sunlight in the Swamp"
8" x 8"
oil on canvas panel
Palette knife
$95
It is a rainy day here in Charlotte.  I thought is was a good day to paint a swamp.
During the summer we took our Pacific Northwest relatives to visit Charleston and Middleton Plantation.  It was a humid day with the sun beating down on us.  The plantation had everything to offer, formal gardens, rice fields, and swamps.

Day 9 "Blue Lagoon"

Day 9 ~ 30 paintings in 30 days.
"Blue Lagoon"
8" x 8"
oil on canvas panel

Many of my painting during this 30 challenge have been from Debordieu Island in South Carolina.  The island's variety is so wonderful to photograph.  There is the beach, the marshes and the canals in between.  And oh yes, there can be gators in those beautiful lagoons.
