I was inspired to paint this oil painting after all the terrible fires in Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino wine country. I visited a friend in May who moved to a beautiful location in Sonoma. So much destruction close to my friends' home, but their house and view were saved.
As a native California, I have spent a lot of time in these areas. I pray for a speedy recovery of this beautiful part of California.
