"The Badlands"

I've been working on this piece for months.  I took a break and did some other paintings.  The foreground was so dark and sky was so bright that it was hard to see the detail.  This image was painted from a photo that I took of  a glorious sunset in the Badlands when we were camping in South Dakota.  The sun was setting and the moon was rising.  It was a beautiful sight that I will never forget.
