"Golden Marsh"

"Golden Marsh"
18" x 36"
oil on canvas
$625

I have presented this painted before on my blog.  Now you may purchase it through my blog.  I love to visit Pawley's Island in South Carolina.  I paint the marsh scenes in their year round splendor.  The colors of the marsh are always different.  It changes with the season, direction of the sun, and ebb and flow of the tide.  The marsh is teeming with life and a constant wonder.

Day 14 "Isle of Palm"

Day 14 ~ 30 paintings in 30 days
"Isle of Palm"
8" x 10"
oil on canvas panel
$95

This spring, summer, and fall, I spent several weekends at the beaches in South Carolina.  I was in Isle of Palm for a birthday party, Litchfield by the Sea, and several times to Pawley's Island and Debordieu.  Every trip I made sure that I took plenty of reference photos for future paintings.  The marsh of full of life.  One day as I was plein air painting, several young boys were having the time of the lives catching crabs with the fishing nets.  The marshes, like the sea are always changing.

Mid-Summer Marsh

"Mid-Summer Marsh"
12" x 12"
oil on canvas
This painting is on it's way to D. Newk's in Georgetown, SC.  The painting was done with a palette knife.  I painted a larger version from this same photograph.  The palette knife gave it a completely different look.  The photo was taken from the land-bridge walking from Debordieu to Pawley's Island.
