The Huntington Beach State Park was windy and cold.  The beach was completely swept clean of any debris.  I choose a soft palette for this painting to show the purity of the beach that day.

In January the South Carolina Beaches and empty and the sand is almost white.  This is a study for a larger piece.  The panel had so much paint on it, the underneath color came through and I really like the little bit of pink throughout the painting.
