Winter Sunset

Above is a photo of "Winter Sunset" with a custom made frame.  I love the look of the light colored frame with this beach scene.  My husband has been making my large frames for some time now.

I just finished this beach scene from Huntington State Park in South Carolina.  I used this image before to paint a completely different beach in color and feeling.  I took my time with this one.  I spent most of my time on the clouds and the colors of the sand dunes.

The Huntington Beach State Park was windy and cold.  The beach was completely swept clean of any debris.  I choose a soft palette for this painting to show the purity of the beach that day.
