This is painted from a photo that I took during an air boat ride in South Carolina.  I used just three colors plus white for this one.  I will continue trying different triads this week.  I hope you enjoy my color studies.  Let me know if want to know what colors I used for this.

After a recent visit to Pawleys, I was inspired to paint some marshes again.  I also just finished reading the book "Pawleys Island"  Dorothea Benton Frank who write about all the areas surrounding Charleston, SC.  I felt filled with the island spirit.

Day 19 "Petite Marsh Memories"

Day 19 ~ 30 paintings in 30 days
"Petite Marsh Memories"
6" x 6"
Oil on canvas panel
$50

I sold "Marsh Memories," 26" by 26", with conflicting feelings.  I am so happy to have sold it  and happy to deposit the check.  I really liked the painting so I did a small painting to try and recreate the scene.  It is funny how paintings have a mind of their own and this does not look like the original painting but  I love just the same.
