An Artist's Day

An artist isn't always at the easel.  Sometimes we are outdoors taking reference photos for future paintings or sitting at our computer looking at last years photos for a new idea.  Yesterday, I rode my bike on Four Mile Creek Greenway and looked for interesting things to photograph.  Today, I looked at photographs with different cloud formations and lots of sky until I found several I liked. I started two 12" by 12" sky and cloud paintings today.  Off to a good start.

"Blueberries"

I painted this today to post on my first day blogging.  I took the photo at 5:00 with the sun over my right shoulder.

The beginning of my Blogging journey.

I starting designing the blog a month ago.  This is my first public post and I hope the kinks are worked out.  I posted my bio and photos of some of my paintings.  New paintings will appear as well as some small studies.

First Post

It is a crazy time of year to start a blog. Everyone is getting ready for Christmas.  Should I be baking Christmas cookies instead or wrapping presents?  Maybe this is the time to be inspired and start something new before the old year is gone.
