Marsh #4

This marsh painting was started by pouring alcohol ink on the canvas.  Then I put on a clear gesso to preserve the drips and stains of the alcohol.  Then I  added a few layers of translucent oil paint so the colors underneath would show through.  This was painted on a gallery wrapped canvas 15" x 45".  I love the size and color.  This painting may be purchased at CPCC ~ Pease Gallery ~1200 Sam Ryburn Walk, Charlotte, NC 28204.  Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday 10-2pm until January 11, 2013.  Price:  $700
