I have a fascination with the photograph my father took in the thirties while ride the ferry boat from Oakland to San Francisco. The depression was still going on, but starting a slow recovery. I left out most of the architecture of the boat to concentrate on the people riding the ferry. See other paintings of this in my blog.
Hi Carol, this is quite an interesting painting and I like everything about it. I especially like the dynamics of the shapes and lines in it. Great job simplifying and making it strong.
