View from Grandfather Mountain

Hiking or walking outdoors is the best place to get inspiration.  This hike to MacRae Peak in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a difficult climb with lots of vertical ladders.  This is my third time to the top.  My husband used to be a mountain climber so he knows what he is doing.  Since I am a novice he roped me in so I felt secure when we climbed seven vertical ladders.  As you can see the view was worth it.  It took four hours round trip.  We are lucky to live in Charlotte and to be close to the mountains and close to the beaches.  I love being a landscape painter.
