Another beautiful day in Matthews to paint this barn.  We learned about this barn from the historical society as they were stopping by to check what repairs the barn needs.  The barn was built in 1880 and owned by the Phillips.  It is the only barn in town in Mecklenburg County.  It is just off a busy street in downtown Matthews.  So happy that this historical site is protected from the wreckers ball.
